For those attending this year In-person, this years exercise will be held at the Holiday Inn Chicago SW-Countryside Conference Center, 6201 Joliet Road, Countryside, IL 60525
The exercise will begin with an Incident Command System Orientation and Training session to prepare your staff to better satisfy the “elements of coordination” requirement for exercises. As a group, participants will be introduced to a series of virtual chronological events. Some of these events will require implementation of emergency and security responses at different security levels. The events will be generic in nature, but applicable to each attendee’s situation. The decision as to whether the facility or vessel should activate an Incident Command based on the provided scenarios will remain with the Leader (FSO, AFSO, CSO, or VSO) for your facility or vessel.
A final “hot wash” session to capture lessons learned and best practices will take place at the end of the exercise and include all participants.
We anticipate concluding the exercise and hot wash by noon. Thereafter you are all invited to attend the sit-down luncheon which will be held in one of the Hotel’s dining rooms.
